Disclosure of Federal Participation –

Projects or programs funded in whole or in part with Federal grant money must credit the Federal government for the Federal government’s portion of the financial support.

This web page citation informs the public that the use of Federal dollars in Vienna Public School District #55 meets the Stevens Amendment requirements.  Staff development opportunities, resource purchases, equipment and personnel have been funded in whole or in part with Federal entitlement dollars.

Parents Right to Know
In accordance with the ESEA Section 1.111(h)(6) Parents Right to Know, the Vienna Public #55 School District is notifying every parent in a Title I school that you have the right and may request information regarding the qualifications of your child’s classroom teacher, including at a minimum, the following:

1. Whether the teacher has met the state qualifications and licensing criteria for the grades and subject area in which the teacher provides instruction.

2. Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other professional status through which the state qualification or licensing criteria has been waived.

3. The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of certification or degree.

4. Whether the child provided services by paraprofessionals, and if so, their qualifications.

If at any time your child has been taught for four or more consecutive weeks by a teacher not highly qualified, the school will notify parents/guardians of Vienna Public School District #55.
